The 2013 M6 is the 3rd generation of the 6 series coupe that has gotten the M treatment. This is BMW speak for their Motorsports division and all of the additional performance items that the car brings. By far, the 2013 M6 is the best one yet! Gone is the heavy and thirsty V10, replaced with a lighter, more efficient and higher powered 4.4 liter, V8 twin turbo engine that makes the latest M6 a joy to drive. Read more
I cannot believe I am driving an Aston Martin Vanquish, I thought to myself as I glanced at the speedometer needle quickly passing 100 MPH! This thought instantly brought me back to reality, as I didn’t want to be the 1st person to “permanently modify” one of the pre-production prototypes on hand for the VIP media to drive at the New Orleans Motorsports Park recently. The 2014 Vanquish is based on the latest generation VH chassis which is more advanced, lighter and stronger than the previous version. This is in addition to putting to good use quite a bit of the engineering lessons learned from the ultra-exotic One-77 on the Vanquish, making it a much better vehicle than the DBS ever could be. Porsche Cayenne GTS (2012)
Now in its second generation, the Porsche Cayenne is better than ever. It is lighter, faster and some say, better looking than the previous version. These accolades seem to be a recurring theme with Porsche, as it seems to have the golden touch with all of its recently revamped models. Like most Porsche faithful, I was a bit dismayed when they announced in the early 2000’s, the intention to add an SUV to their lineup. Their 1st generation vehicle was a huge success, now the 2nd one is ever better, as the Cayenne really is the Porsche 911 of SUV’s! Thanks to its success, especially in the US, Porsche has been able to invest additional resources towards research and development, with stellar results. Jaguar KXR-S Convertible (2012)
Wanting to play in the same league as Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi with their AMG, M and RS models respectively, Jaguar has introduced the 2012 Jaguar XKR-S. Even though the current XK design is now a mature one, Jaguar felt they had one last swan-song trick up their sleeve. Taking a cue from the Porsche playbook by introducing a sporty limited edition version to drum up new excitement before the model is replaced. Yes, feel free to use any superlative that comes to mind to describe the exquisite XKR-S. Mine include: Faster, more powerful and with just the right hint of exterior styling differences to make it stand out from the “mundane” R version that it easily trumps.

The fourth generation of the luxury Range Rover line has been unveiled today. Totally reengineered, the new luxury flagship for the Land Rover Company offers more luxury, less weight (700 pounds lighter for the North American version) and better fuel economy than the outgoing series.
